Ownership
For some, a business of his own. Earned and owned, not given.
A Discipleship & Reentry Program of Balanced Life Ministry
The work is not a reward for finishing the program. The work is the program.
“Nobody is pushed up a rung before they are ready, and nobody is left standing on one indefinitely.”
A Different Way Forward
A man can leave incarceration or rehab with no job, no license, no transportation, and a stack of court obligations. There is almost no path from there that does not lead back.
We do not find someone a job and wish them well. We give them real work at a real wage in our own businesses — and then we stay. The restaurants, store, and service crews are not side ventures that fund a ministry. They are where the program happens.
Climbed One Rung at a Time
Every rung is meaningful. Progress is practical, personal, and built to last.
For some, a business of his own. Earned and owned, not given.
A graduate who now serves the program that served him.
His own place, his own bills. We step back and stay reachable.
Credit repair, money management, and for some, a home of his own.
Sponsored training toward a certification that follows him for life.
A real job, with somebody beside him every day.
Housing, transportation, ID, license, and court obligations met.
What the Top Rung Means
Most programs end at independence. Ours does not. At rung six, a graduate comes back and carries someone else. One of ours holds a state clinical license and counsels inside the ministry that served him.
At rung seven, for some, the road leads to ownership. We teach the books, pricing, licensing, payroll, and the habits that make ordinary commercial opportunity possible. It is earned, bought, and belongs to them.
Why We Are Telling You
Some congregations sponsor a home. Some sponsor training toward certification. Some send work, and some send people. Some pray and tell us so — and that is not the small option.
Help provide a safe, structured place for a participant to begin again.
Help a man work toward a certification that remains with him for life.
Create opportunity by sending practical work, or refer someone who needs a path forward.
Prayer, encouragement, and long-term church relationships are never the small option.
We would rather come and sit down with your congregation than send another piece of paper.
