Our Mission

We exist to be a bridge—connecting people to Christ, to community, and to the resources they need to move forward. From providing housing support and job opportunities to offering spiritual guidance and community outreach, we serve with one goal in mind: to assist in restoring balance to broken lives.

Our Story

Balanced Life Ministry began in 2008 when Jay Harrison saw a need he couldn’t ignore. Jay recognized that so many people in the community were struggling—not just financially, but emotionally and spiritually. With a deep desire to help those in need, he stepped out in faith and founded the ministry.

What started as a mission quickly grew into a movement. From providing meals and housing support to connecting people with jobs and walking alongside them in life’s hardest seasons, Jay built a ministry rooted in love, service, and hope.

Over the years, Balanced Life Ministry has expanded, but the heart has never changed. We exist to restore balance to broken lives—offering practical help, meaningful community, and the life-changing hope of Jesus Christ.

Today, what began as one man’s calling has become a community effort. Volunteers, partners, and supporters joined together to carry out the vision God laid out for Jay: to meet needs, love people, and remind them that God has not forgotten them.

Why We’re Here

Life is fragile. One setback—a lost job, a health crisis, a broken relationship—can send someone into a spiral that feels impossible to escape. Too often, people face these challenges alone, without the support, resources, or encouragement they desperately need. That’s where Balanced Life Ministry steps in.

01

Housing

Safe, stable housing is the foundation for rebuilding a life. When families have a place to call home, they can focus on healing, growth, and the future—rather than just surviving today.

02

Employment

Through partnerships with local businesses, we help create jobs that restore dignity and purpose. A steady paycheck doesn’t just provide for today’s needs—it builds confidence, responsibility, and long-term stability.

03

Discipleship

Meeting practical needs matters, but true wholeness comes through the hope of Jesus Christ. We walk with people in prayer, discipleship, and encouragement, helping them build a relationship with Jesus Christ and find balance not only in life but in faith.
